UNDERWRITING ASSOCIATE
Purpose of Position
Reporting to the Underwriter, the incumbent is responsible for assessing prospective customers, reviewing and processing binders based on approved broker slips, liaising with key stakeholders to ensure the customers’ transactions are expedited and customer’s commitments are met, processing and dispatching cancellations received from the Finance Department, and reviewing registry items for follow-up transactions.
The position is based in Kingston. Our ideal candidate is a dynamic and organized individual, with strong communication, networking and relationship building skills.
Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge
At minimum, applicants should possess the following:
- First Degree in Business Management or related field
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to work as part of a team or individually
- Good time management and the ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite [EXCEL, Word, PowerPoint etc.]
