UX/UI DESIGNER

 

 

Purpose of Position

To design intuitive, accessible, and visually engaging digital experiences within the Digital Factory. The UX/UI Designer works with product, technology, marketing, and other stakeholders to understand user needs; translate requirements into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interface designs; deliver user research, insights and usability testing; and contribute to consistent, user-centred experiences across digital touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the UX/UI design process for digital products and services from discovery through delivery.
  • Conduct and support user research activities, including interviews, surveys, field observations, contextual inquiries, usability testing, and A/B testing.
  • Collaborate with product owners, technology teams, marketing, and other stakeholders to understand design goals, requirements, and user stories.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, journey maps, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes that clearly communicate intended experiences and interactions.
  • Design responsive and accessible user interfaces that align with brand guidelines and established design standards.
  • Review competitive and comparative digital experiences to identify relevant design patterns and opportunities.
  • Participate in workshops and working sessions with cross-functional teams and users to inform design decisions.
  • Contribute to and maintain design systems, component libraries, and design documentation to support consistency and scalability.
  • Work closely with developers during implementation, provide design specifications, and conduct design quality checks.
  • Analyse user behaviour and feedback to identify opportunities to improve usability, engagement, accessibility, and customer satisfaction.
  • Present design concepts, research findings, progress updates, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least two (2) years’ relevant experience in UX/UI design for digital products
  • Working knowledge of user experience principles, interaction design, visual design, usability, responsive design, and accessibility standards
  • Proficiency in prototyping and interface design tools such as Figma
  • A portfolio demonstrating user-centred design thinking, interface design, wireframing, and prototyping skills
  • Familiarity with user research methods, usability testing, agile product development, and design handoff practices
  • Strong analytical, creative, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Good communication, presentation, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple design assignments, meet deadlines, and respond constructively to feedback
  • Exposure to analytics or testing platforms, such as Google Analytics or A/B testing tools, would be an asset
