Trade Development Officer
Purpose of Position
The Trade Development Officer will be responsible for contributing to the Company’s goals by effective in-store execution and implementation, supervision of sales representatives and merchandisers and monitoring trade bad and dump.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence and maintenance of pricing policy, planograms, gondolas and stock rotation.
- Audit brand merchandising and effect corrective actions.
- Ensure the timely correction of merchandising issues that are identified.
- Co-ordinate and ensure the proper distribution of all POS materials.
- Supervise a cadre of Merchandisers, Team Leaders and Sales Representatives to ensure effective and efficient deployment.
- Manager the performance of direct reports.
- Work closely with Customer Development Managers (CDM) in maintaining customer relationships and delivering quarterly presentations to select key accounts.
- Any other duties assigned as we develop and adjust the business.
Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge
- Degree in Marketing and/or Business Administration
- At least two years experience in a similar capacity
- Supervisory experience
- Computer literacy is essential
- Experience in a retail or grocery distribution environment
