SOCIAL MEDIA OFFICER

 

 

Job Purpose

The Social Media Officer is responsible for developing and executing strategies to increase the visibility and engagement of the company’s social media presence across multiple platforms. The Social Media Officer will create, curate, and manage content to ensure that the company’s social media channels are engaging, current, and aligned with the overall marketing strategy. 

  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and implement social media strategies and campaigns to increase brand awareness and engagement. 

  • Create, curate, and manage content for the company’s social media accounts. 

  • Monitor and respond to comments and messages on the company’s social media accounts. 

  • Monitor trends in social media and develop strategies to capitalize on them. 

  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of social media campaigns. 

  • Stay current with new social media platforms, trends, and best practices. 

  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure alignment of social media campaigns with overall marketing strategy 

  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team to plan and deliver staff engagement initiatives while ensuring appropriate visibility across social media platforms

  

Required Education & Competencies 

 
  • BSc. in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. 

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in social media management. 

  • Enhanced knowledge of social media platforms and analytics. Certification will be an asset. 

  • Naturally creative and enjoy navigating the social media space 

  • Excellent communication skills 

  • Advanced problem-solving skills & quick thinker  

  • Ability to work independently  

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
