Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the dynamic and strategic Shopper Experience Manager – On Premise is a role that is pivotal in driving brand and consumer engagements and sales through impactful on-premise activations, strategic partnerships, and compelling event and sponsorship initiatives. This results-oriented leader is responsible for collaborating with the local and global Brand/Category Management teams along with the Regional Sales Managers and Representatives to lead insights driven planning and activations that will support the achievement of the Company's objectives for our brands in the On-Premise outlets, events and sponsorships island wide.
Principal Responsibilities
Ensure full integration of On-Premise activities in the cycle planning process to:
- Develop activity plans for key On-Premise accounts (in collaboration with Brand and Sales teams)
- Lead planning, execution and live monitoring of targeted activities within set timelines
- Presentation of roll-out plans activities (after alignment with Sales and Brand Management teams plus review and approval from the Head of Marketing)
- Identify and develop programs to accelerate sustainable revenue growth in on-premise channels
- Lead the completion of return on activity goals (ROAG) template for relevant activities across the GFS Marketing Team
- Lead in the management of events and sponsorships including but not limited to on-site supervision and agency management.
Activity measurement and evaluation
- Preparation of pre-evaluations for all planned activities (inclusive of financials)
- Live monitoring of the progress of implemented plans and activities
- Preparation of post-evaluation for all planned activities within the designated timeline (including financials)
- Regular analysis of on-premise channel performance and brand performance with the brand management team, determining trends and proposing action plans to close any gaps that may arise.
- Develop and maintain high-level relationships with on-premise partners
- Regular trade visits to key customers (including relevant events) to build relationships at all levels.
- Presentation of activities to customers where necessary.
- Provide feedback to customers and the sales and brand management teams.
Special Requirements and Key Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or discipline (Business, Marketing or Sales)
- At least two (2) years’ experience in a leadership capacity and or managing a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Sponsorship and Events, Channel Sales or Brand Management as well as proven track record of successful programme development and implementation
- Project management experience is an asset
- Knowledge of brand, sales and customer management preferably in an FMCG environment
- Proactive, self-starter with proven track record of driving results
- Strong leadership abilities required, along with excellent written, verbal, analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to work successfully in cross-functional environments to achieve results
- Own and operate a reliable motor vehicle
