Senior Category Product Manager

 

At GraceKennedy Foods, strong supplier partnerships and strategic sourcing drive growth and excellence. The Senior Category Product Manager will lead the development and execution of category strategies that deliver value through reliable sourcing, cost optimisation, and supplier performance — ensuring the Division meets its operational and strategic objectives.

 

 WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimise GK Foods’ supply base and supplier performance.
  • Identify, qualify, and negotiate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Manage supplier contracts, performance metrics, and compliance with Company policies.
  • Conduct spend analyses, risk assessments, and supplier performance reviews.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams—including Category Management, Innovation, Operations, and Finance—to deliver divisional objectives.
  • Lead supplier qualification, training, and development initiatives.
  • Drive cost management and continuous improvement across assigned portfolios.
  • Maintain supplier master data and provide regular performance and market reports.

 

WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB?

  • A first degree in the Social, Natural, or Management Sciences.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in purchasing, commodity, or supplier management.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Proven experience managing supplier relationships and contracts.
  • Experience in the Food Industry is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement systems and business software applications.
