SENIOR BUSINESS AUDITOR

 

 

Main Responsibilities 

  • Plan and execute various financial reporting, compliance, and operations audits in accordance with accepted professional standards and the department’s methodology in order to determine compliance with institutional policies and procedures and adherence to applicable laws and regulations with GK Foods Local and International markets.
  • Utilizing the COSO and COBIT framework, plan, organize and carry out responsibility of the internal audit function including the preparation of an audit plan, which fulfils the responsibility of the department, scheduling and assigning work and estimating resource needs including time for project.
  • Conduct Planning meeting with management to commence audit assignment.
  • Lead Planning Tollgate and Closing Tollgate for each assigned audit.
  • Conduct reviews as directed by the Chief Audit Executive ensuring compliance with the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Perform annual risk assessment and prepare proposed Audit Plan as required
  • Perform research. Risk assessment and develop the Business Process Matrix for each assigned audit
  • Review, develop and recommend detailed audit programmes for use on assignment.
  • Perform specific audit procedures and prepare work papers documenting the audit procedures performed.
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Complete audit assignments based on schedules and budget
  • Provide accurate and timely reports to management.
  • Make recommendations on the systems and procedures being reviewed and prepare comprehensive written reports on the findings and recommendations.
  • Complete time sheets for activities performed.
  • Complete and sign-off GIA application software prior to commencement of fieldwork and draft report dispatch
  • Attend, conduct, participate in relevant training and development sessions as requested
  • Provide assistance and guidance to Business Auditor/Guest auditor for completion of assigned audits
  • Provide assistance to external auditors under the guidance of the Chief Audit Executive as requested.
  • Keep abreast of the latest technology developments in the industry so that the required information and expertise is always available to the Company
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Review monthly management updates and prepare summary of audit findings implementation status

 

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • B.Sc. Degree in Accounting or similar qualifications at that level
  • Five (5) years’ audit experience
  • CIA (Certified Internal Auditor)/CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)/CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner)
  • ISO/FSSC 22000 Certified Food Safety Management Auditor/ISO 9000 Certified Quality Management Auditor/ ISO 28000 Supply Chain Management/ISO27000 Information Security Management
  • Knowledge of audit procedures, including planning, techniques, test and sampling methods involved in conducting audits
  • Knowledge of SAP enterprise resource planning software
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Critical thinking, emotional intelligence, communication and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Capable of working on own initiative
  • High degree of confidentiality and integrity
  • Team orientation
  • Flexibility and the ability to change priorities quickly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite [Excel, Word, etc.] 
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable motor vehicle
