SENIOR BRAND MANAGER



 

Purpose of Position

 

To take responsibility for developing plans and executing projects and initiatives within agreed budgets that support the broader short and long-term marketing strategy for the assigned portfolio of products. In addition, the incumbent for this role collaborates with brand principals and other departments to ensure the assigned portfolio of products remains relevant to consumers and that all initiatives support the brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Principals and their representatives on marketing programmes.
  • Review and provide periodic sales forecasts for portfolios to the Supply Chain Unit as required. 
  • Analyze market, consumer, and competitive information to provide support in setting the pricing on new products and managing pricing for existing products. 
  • Take ownership of brands, which involves but is not limited to:
    • Tracking product performance and providing updates against budget and prior year(s).
    • Conducting monthly Trade Checks and submitting with Monthly Reports.
    • Coordinating and executing principal visits (including trade visits).
  • Partner with the sales teams/agencies to garner market intelligence on key products to drive strategy, timeliness of plans and responsiveness to trends.
  • Represent World Brands Services Limited at marketing events.
  • Any other duties assigned, such as coordinating cross functional team assignments, as we develop and adjust our business strategy.

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related discipline
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar capacity (retail or grocery distribution/FMCG environment)
  • Masters’ Degree (an asset)  
  • Supervisory training (an asset)
  • Computer literacy is essential.
