SENIOR BRANCH MANAGER

(NEW KINGSTON)

Purpose of position

The Senior Branch Manager – New Kingston will be responsible for overseeing business development and service activities in-branch, to ensure the attainment of the bank’s financial objectives and regulatory compliance.

 

Responsibilities will cover key areas such as;

  • Manage branch assigned financial targets including developing and monitoring budget.
  • Monitor the growth, sales and profit objectives of the branch.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies and procedures as well as adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements to minimize the bank’s exposure to risks.
  • Ensure that the bank’s service standards are consistently maintained including improving service delivery where necessary and ensuring that customer complaints are addressed in a time manner.
  • Manage, develop and guide the in-branch sales team.
  • Engage in networking activities to identify new and viable business opportunities on an ongoing basis.
  • Adjudicate and grant approvals for loan applications within Delegated Limits of Authority and other established bank guidelines, ensuring that risks are minimized.
  • Create and retain a high performing, engaged and well-trained team by mentoring, coaching and monitoring staff performance.
  • Assist in the development and marketing of new products and services.

  

Required Qualification, experience and key competencies:  The successful candidate should have:

  • First degree in Management Studies, Finance or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in commercial banking at the management level
  • Sound knowledge of credit and risk management
  • Sound knowledge of Banking operations and thorough knowledge of governing Laws, Rules and Regulations
  • Proven track record of success in sales
  • High-energy and self-motivation
  • High level of integrity, accountability and results orientation
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strategic thinking with excellent leadership and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and motivate
  • Customer-centric and detail oriented
