RISK ANALYST - INSURANCE SEGMENT
Purpose of Position
What You'll Be Responsible For
In this role, you will support the organization by:
- Conducting risk assessments and control reviews across financial, operational, strategic, compliance, and digital risk categories.
- Supporting the execution of the Enterprise Risk Management risk and control self-assessment programme across the Insurance Segment.
- Assessing key financial risks, including capital, liquidity, foreign exchange, credit, and market risks, and evaluating their impact on the business.
- Performing quantitative analysis, stress testing, and reverse stress testing to identify potential vulnerabilities and emerging threats.
- Developing risk models, analytical tools, and reporting solutions that enhance the organization's ability to monitor and manage risk exposures.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of risk and capital models in collaboration with stakeholders across the Group.
- Monitoring emerging risks, industry developments, and evolving regulatory requirements that may impact the Insurance Segment.
- Conducting AML/CFT risk assessments and supporting compliance, governance, and risk reporting activities.
- Providing recommendations that contribute to stronger risk controls, improved decision-making, and operational effectiveness.
What Will Make You Successful
- An undergraduate degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, Management, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of two (2) years' related experience in risk management, finance, audit, compliance, analytics, or a related field.
- Completion of Level I CFA, FRM, ACCA, or another relevant professional designation would be considered an asset.
- Training or exposure in Audit, Risk Management, Compliance, Data Analytics, Project Management, or Enterprise Risk Management.
- Experience working with data analysis tools and quantitative techniques would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
- Strong ability to assess complex information, identify patterns, and draw meaningful conclusions from data.
- Ability to evaluate risks objectively and recommend practical solutions.
- Ability to communicate technical findings clearly and confidently to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Comfortable working across business units and collaborating with leaders, regulators, auditors, and external partners.
- Ability to interpret requirements and contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and risk frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to implement new concepts, manage competing priorities, and work independently.
- High degree of honesty, confidentiality, and personal accountability.
- Strong focus on accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement.
