Risk, Compliance & Quality Assurance Manager
Are you passionate about food safety, risk management, and delivering top-quality standards? At Hi-Lo Food Stores, we’re looking for a dynamic professional to champion compliance, protect our customers, and ensure operational excellence across all food preparation environments. This is your chance to make a real impact in a role that blends leadership, strategy, and hands-on quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce food safety and quality assurance protocols across bakeries, delis, meat, and produce departments
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and all relevant food safety regulations
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and prepare reports with actionable recommendations
- Lead enterprise risk management initiatives including loss prevention, audits, and process improvements
- Manage relationships with regulatory agencies, food safety authorities, and external auditors
- Deliver training programs to staff on food safety, risk management, and compliance standards
- Monitor incidents, emerging risks, and implement strategies to reduce shrinkage, write-offs, and pilferage
- Provide timely updates to senior management and corporate risk teams on major issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, food technology, accounting, management studies, or related field, or ACCA Level 1
- Minimum two years’ experience in retail or food operations
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, company operations, and quality control practices
- Training in risk management, audit management, and food safety systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel with excellent communication skills
- Analytical, results-oriented, and able to work under pressure while meeting deadlines
