Receivables Associate

Purpose of Job

To ensure that Accounts Receivables as recorded in the General Ledger are bona fide and that the collection of amounts owing is in keeping with the credit policy.

 

Principal Responsibilities

  • Identify client payments and send instructions to the cashier for receipting to relevant account/s.
  • Review and approve/endorse premium refunds to clients and premium Finance Companies.
  • Approve/endorse requisitions for premium payments to insurers.
  • Liaise with Account Executives, Clients, Companies and Insurers in following up and cross-checking receivables, as well as updating receivable tracking reports.
  • Prepare reconciliations reports
  • Prepare receivables analysis, reports for Board and Audit Committe meetings

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • At least three (3) years' experience in Accounting or Receivables Management
  • Kowledge and proven ability in the use of Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • Working knowledge of EpicAssure software and in particular the Accounting module or an Accounting software
