QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER - CONTRACT
 

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the ideal candidate should possess the following:

ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• BSc or equivalent in a science related discipline (preferable food)
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Competent in the use of computer application for documentation and data analysis
• Ability to perform trend analyses and make recommendations from results
• Sound problem solving and trouble shooting skills
• Knowledge of microorganisms relevant to the food industry
• Organizational ability and people skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

• Secure samples submitted to the Quality Assurance Department for testing    
• Perform chemical, microbiological and physical analyses in accordance with procedures
• Maintain clear and accurate records of all tests completed
• Maintain work area and the laboratory equipment in the required condition
• Participate in the company’s self-assessment audit program.
