Product Manager
We are seeking a results-driven and analytical professional to join our Supply Chain Unit as a Product Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing procurement and supply for assigned product portfolios, ensuring reliable sourcing, cost optimisation, and service-level performance across the GK Foods Division.
WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
- Managing the procurement of assigned materials and services in alignment with demand plans, service level agreements, and inventory targets.
- Negotiating and maintaining supplier relationships to ensure cost competitiveness, quality standards, and supply reliability.
- Monitoring portfolio performance and reporting on risks, out-of-stock items, supplier performance, and market developments.
- Creating and managing purchase orders in SAP, ensuring accuracy of quantities, pricing, timelines, and associated costs.
- Managing material master data, purchasing information records, and source lists to ensure data integrity.
- Aligning supply inflows with demand forecasts and mitigating real or potential supply risks.
- Managing supplier performance through scorecards, business reviews, and corrective actions where necessary.
- Participating in S&OP meetings and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to support business objectives.
- Ensuring purchasing activities comply with company policies, procedures, and contractual agreements.
WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social, Pure or Applied Sciences, or a related analytical discipline.
- Experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing functions; SAP MRP experience is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
- Sound knowledge of purchasing principles, contract management, and supplier negotiations.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
