Product Manager
Reporting to the Senior Category Product Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the dependable sourcing of trading and non-trading goods, including raw and packaging materials, for Grace Kennedy-owned factories. The role aims to facilitate the procurement process by aligning it with demand-driven requirements models and plans while adhering to service-level and inventory holding agreements.
WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
- Perform purchase functions such as negotiating agreements with Suppliers, preparing and dispatching purchase orders, and making changes where necessary.
- Ensure proper cost and price management of the assigned portfolio.
- Align inflows with demand by validating forecasts where necessary and mitigating real and potential supply risks.
WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB?
- Bachelor’s degree in Social, Pure, and Applied Sciences or other degree with an analytical base
- One (1) year SAP MRP experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in purchasing, commodity, and/or supplier agreements.
- Proficiency in the use of computer and software applications for the execution of job functions.
- Ability to analyse situations accurately and develop effective courses of action
- Working knowledge of purchasing principles & practices, materials, specifications and standards, prices, and current market conditions, laws governing contracts, regulations, and the policies and procedures governing related operations.
- Possesses robust analytical and problem-solving skills
- Own and operate a reliable motor vehicle.
