On Call Teller

Purpose of Position
First Global Bank is seeking customer-focused, dependable and adaptable professionals to join our team as On-Call Tellers. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service while accurately processing financial transactions across our branch network. This role requires flexibility, as incumbents may be assigned to work at any of our branches within the Corporate Area and Portmore based on operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by serving customers in a courteous, professional and efficient manner.
- Process a variety of financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cheque deposits and foreign currency transactions in accordance with established procedures.
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile transactions accurately at the end of each workday.
- Respond to customer enquiries and resolve routine issues while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Promote and refer the Bank's products and services to customers where appropriate.
- Adhere to all internal controls, security procedures, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements and operational policies.
- Safeguard confidential customer and Bank information at all times.
- Maintain accuracy and productivity while working in different branch environments.
- Be available to work at any assigned branch within the Corporate Area and Portmore, sometimes on short notice, based on business needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support branch operations.
Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge
- Minimum of Five(5) CSEC/GCE O'Level subjects (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics.
- Cash handling certification or banking-related training would be considered an asset.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a customer service, cashiering, teller or other cash-handling environment.
- Previous banking experience would be an advantage.
