Mortgage Sales Specialist

 

Purpose of position                                                                                                     

 

The Mortgage Sales Specialist will be responsible for developing new relationships, driving aggressive mortgage portfolio growth, and supporting sales of digital loan products such as pre-approved and top-up loans. The role also includes servicing customers to ensure retention, partnering with developers and real estate brokers to drive growth in the mortgage portfolio and referring business opportunities to other entities within the Group.

 

 

Principal Responsibilities

 

Mortgage Sales:

    • Achieve and exceed monthly assigned sales targets.
    • Source and convert leads through proactive engagement with customers, real estate agents, developers, and referral networks.
    • Provide expert advice on mortgage products, eligibility, and financing options, ensuring compliance with credit policy and regulatory standards.
    • Monitor market trends and competitor offerings to recommend pricing and product enhancements.
    • Support proactive discharge processes and collateral release initiatives to improve customer satisfaction.
    • Partner with developers and real estate brokers to drive growth in the mortgage portfolio
    • Recommend product improvements to drive sales in the mortgage space

Cross-Sell:

    • Promote other bank products through client meetings and discussions covering financing solutions and market developments.
    • Drive uptake of digital loan products and campaigns
    • Collaborate with Branch Managers and BBEs to identify cross-sell opportunities for digital loans.

Relationship Management:

    • Develop relationships with referral sources (attorneys, accountants, real estate agents, developers) and influential community members to identify prospects for new business opportunities.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of each customer’s financial needs and associated risks.

Collaboration:

    • Work closely with all other divisions to coordinate all marketing, sales, and support services for assigned accounts.

 

Required Qualification, Experience and Key Competencies:  The successful candidate should have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related discipline;
  • Proven record of exceptional sales performance and sound judgment.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in mortgage lending, credit analysis, or retail banking.
  • Broad industry knowledge and understanding of mortgage and digital lending solutions.
  • An achiever who exceeds sales and profitability goals while building and expanding business relationships.
  • Excellent marketing, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Superior analytical and relationship management skills.
