SENIOR MANAGER - IT SECURITY & COMPLIANCE

 

 

Purpose of Position

The Senior Manager, IT Security & Compliance provides strategic leadership and oversight for the Group’s information security and compliance function. This role is responsible for ensuring that technology risks are effectively managed, regulatory requirements are met, and the organization’s information assets are protected in an increasingly complex digital landscape.

 

Working closely with the Chief Information Officer and senior stakeholders across the Group, this role translates security and compliance requirements into practical, business‑aligned solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening the organization’s security posture while enabling innovation, operational resilience, and stakeholder confidence.

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Responsible For

 

In this role, you will lead and support the organization by:

  • Defining and executing the enterprise information security and compliance strategy, aligned to business objectives and risk tolerance
  • Establishing and maintaining a robust information security governance framework, including policies, standards, and reporting mechanisms
  • Leading risk assessments, audits, and internal control reviews, ensuring systems and processes operate securely and effectively
  • Managing security threats, incidents, and response protocols, safeguarding the organization’s systems, data, and reputation
  • Overseeing compliance activities, including regulatory requirements, audit coordination, and remediation actions
  • Providing expert advisory support to executive leadership, including risk, cost‑benefit considerations, and emerging security trends
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across IT and business units to ensure secure implementation of systems and technologies
  • Driving security awareness and training initiatives to strengthen the organization’s risk culture
  • Leading and developing a high‑performing technical team, while ensuring effective prioritization of resources and delivery of objectives

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge

What Will Make You Successful

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • A minimum of ten (10) years’ managerial experience in information security or related IT fields
  • Professional certifications such as CISM, CISSP, CISA or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g. ISO 27000, PCI, COBIT, GDPR)
  • In‑depth understanding of IT security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection, encryption, and vulnerability tools
  • Experience developing and executing technology and security strategies
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements within a corporate environment
  • Ability to align security objectives with broader business and financial goals
  • Ability to translate security and compliance priorities into business‑aligned strategies
  • Strong judgement in assessing and mitigating complex security risks
  • Ability to engage and align senior leadership and stakeholders across the organization
  • Capable of diagnosing issues and implementing effective, practical solutions
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and build high‑performing technical teams
  • Strong ability to prioritize, manage competing demands, and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment
  • High level of confidentiality, ethical conduct, and attention to detail
