Maintenance Technician (Contract)

 

ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS               

  • Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

   (Preferably in a Food Processing environment)

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the role of a Mechanical or Electrical Technician

   (Preferably in a Food Processing environment)

  • Computer Literacy
  • Problem solving skills/abilities
  • Working experience with electromechanical systems/Programmable Logic Controllers would be an asset

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

 

  • Maintain equipment to improve reliability and availability
  • Implement preventative and corrective maintenance work
  • Support the modification of preventative maintenance

programme

  • Advise operators in basic maintenance activities
