Logistics and Distribution Centre Manager

We’re looking for a strategic and dynamic Logistics & Distribution Centre Manager to lead our Domestic Distribution Centre Network, optimise operations, and ensure seamless end-to-end supply chain performance.

 

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Leading and optimising logistics operations across GK Foods’ Domestic Distribution Centre Network.
  • Collaborating with sales, procurement, warehouse, customer service teams, and external partners to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Managing 3PL contracts and monitoring performance against agreed KPIs.
  • Driving efficiencies in logistics sourcing, freight negotiations, transportation, and goods movement.
  • Overseeing inventory management to align supply and demand while optimising warehouse utilisation.
  • Ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements, customs laws, and global industry certifications.
  • Managing facility budgets, audits, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Leading disaster recovery and incident management processes within the Distribution Centres.
  • Monitoring logistics KPIs, preparing reports, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coaching, developing, and fostering a high-performing logistics team.

 

WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics and distribution centre management
  • At least 5 years of proven people management experience
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing and developing teams
  • Strong record of successful logistics and distribution operations
  • Proficiency in SAP and logistics software
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Solid knowledge of logistics regulations, customs compliance, DOT, HAZMAT, TSA, and OSHA standards
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
