GraceKennedy Currency Trading Services Limited invites applications from experienced, suitable, qualified and dynamic individuals for the position of:

JUNIOR TRADER 

Job Purpose 

Identify and service commercial clients with foreign exchange needs by marketing FX Trader’s services, maintaining and growing the client base in line with budgeted volumes and margins, analyzing market conditions to ensure competitive pricing, assisting with daily rate setting, and supporting KYC and compliance requirements. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Provide active support in the expansion of the company's customer base among first-hand suppliers and end-users of foreign exchange.
• Solicit, negotiate and enact foreign currency trades with commercial clients in the foreign exchange market, according to the company’s budgeted trade volumes and margins.
• Analyze the foreign exchange market and make recommendations to the Senior Trader to improve and contribute to increased trade volume and gains.
• Liaise with agent network and assist agents (where necessary) with foreign currency trading issues.
• Support the trading desk at both the Corporate and Retail level, maintaining market competitiveness of locations within the network.
• Cold calling, meeting potential clients, converting them into active clients and then managing the relationship.
• Liaise with Treasury Officer as well as to ensure that there is sufficient cash in respective bank accounts to facilitate trades.
• Liaise frequently with other traders to ensure that all trades are posted and reported accurately in internal and external systems.
• Manage, maintain and actively update KYC records of all commercial clients, in accordance with compliance requirements and guidelines. 

Education, Experience & Competencies 

• B.Sc. Degree in Finance or Management Studies.
• Two (2) years related work experience in a similar capacity in a financial service company.
• Excellent selling and negotiating skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• High level of confidentiality, objectivity and integrity
• Very good knowledge of foreign exchange and money markets
• Commercial awareness and innovativeness. 
• Good financial analysis, decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Result and customer oriented.
• Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet Microsoft Excel. Ability to navigate Tableau is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
