JUNIOR MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
Academic Qualifications and Key Competences
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or related discipline)
- Minimum two years in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong computer literacy
- Hands-on experience with PLC systems, electrical/mechanical trouble-shooting, AUTOCAD or equivalent drawing software
- Solid understanding of motor control circuits and variable frequency drives
- Working knowledge of electrical safety regulations and compliance standards
- Proven problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective interpersonal and people skills, with a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure consistent machine availability through proactive maintenance and timely troubleshooting
- Maintain food processing equipment, including sourcing, assessing, and coordinating replacement parts
- Participate in stock counts and inventory verification activities as required
- Collect, analyse, and interpret operational data to support efficiency and performance enhancement initiatives
- Prepare or assist in the development of capital projects, including documentation, planning, and execution support.
