Customer Service and Compliance Officer - GK Life

 

 

Purpose of Position

To ensure excellent customer and partner onboarding/service support in Barbados while maintaining an effective compliance posture and executing key compliance programme activities for assigned territories, including AML/CFT-related responsibilities as applicable.

Key Responsibilities

A) Customer Service / Partner Client Onboarding (Barbados)

  • Conduct product demonstrations and training for new customers and partners. 
  • Understand customer/partner needs and support tailoring/customizing products to meet those needs. 
  • Coordinate with sales and technical teams to ensure smooth onboarding. 
  • Resolve customer/partner issues quickly and efficiently, ensuring timely closure. 
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers/partners to support satisfaction and retention. 
  • Keep updated records of customer interactions and transactions in line with internal and external standards. 
  • Monitor customer success and suggest appropriate product/service improvements. 
  • Ensure record keeping and report generation as per agreed standards. 
  • Support operational requirements associated with the onboarding approach in Barbados (as referenced in the role concept). 

B) Compliance (Assigned Territories: St Maarten, Anguilla, Grenada, Bahamas, Guyana)

  • Manage the AML/CFT/CPF compliance programme, including serving in the roles of Compliance Officer (CO), MLRO,  MLCO for the assigned countries.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance matrices/checklists and the compliance monitoring programme.
  • Maintain and update compliance policies/procedures/programmes to reflect regulatory and internal standard changes.
  • Develop AML/CFT training content and conduct AML/CFT training.
  • Conduct compliance testing and coordinate compliance activities to ensure adherence to laws/internal policies.
  • Track, monitor, and support completion of corrective action plans from audits/exams/reviews.
  • Prepare and submit,  on at least a quarterly basis, reports to the GKFG Compliance unit for the relevant governance forums (Audit Committee / Board), as required.

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, Risk/Compliance, or related discipline
  • Experience in customer onboarding/service
  • Three (3) years’ experience in internal audit, Finance, Accounting, or operations in the financial sector inclusive of experience in second line compliance inclusive of AML/CFT/CPF requirements in a regulated environment
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping discipline
