CREDIT OFFICER - BANK RECONCILIATION

Reporting to the Credit Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for achievement of targeted receivables ageing & collections inflow and ensure prompt collection of Accounts Receivable and adherence to the Company’s Credit Policy.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Reconciliation of customer accounts on an on-going basis to eliminate or reduce discrepancies

·       Assist with the collection function in order to improve the Company’s cash flow position

·       Assist with the management of accounts receivable in line with the Company’s credit policy

·       Apply payments on accounts in SAP daily, especially with the cash sales accounts

·       Assist with coding payments for submission to cashiers

·       Complete journals entries

·       Provide a timely update to Supervisor/Manager on matters relating to the acccounts

·       Perform any other duties that may be assigned             

 

ACADEMIC/ PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Finance & Accounting

·       Minimum two years’ experience working in a similar capacity

·       PC Proficiency to include Microsoft Office Suite of Products

·       Account Management skills

·       Knowledge of Warehouse Management System, an asset

·       Knowledge of SAP Software, an asset

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

·       Strong oral and written communication and time management skills

·       Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to be a flexible team player

·       Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills, with a good grasp of operational procedures

·       Ability to work with minimal supervision and a high degree of accuracy & accountability
