COMPLIANCE OFFICER
 

 

 

Purpose of Position

The position is responsible for the monitoring of the compliance programme (which includes ensuring that there is full compliance among the various units or teams with established laws, regulations, policies and procedures) and ensuring that vulnerability to compliance risk is minimized. 

 

The Compliance Officer is responsible for supporting standards and implementing procedures to ensure that the compliance programmes throughout GK Capital Management Limited (GKCM) are effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting and correcting non-compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of AML/CFT compliance programmes, policies and controls.
  • Submit regulatory reports and maintain compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct KYC reviews and monitor high-risk customer accounts.
  • Investigate AML/CFT transaction monitoring alerts and reports.
  • Develop, review and update compliance policies, procedures and controls.
  • Conduct compliance assessments and provide guidance on regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with regulators and coordinate regulatory examinations.
  • Coordinate internal compliance reviews and monitor audit remediation activities.

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Studies, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience in Compliance, Internal Audit, Finance, Accounting, or Operations within the financial services industry.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Sound knowledge of financial services legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of AML/CFT regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of information technology and financial institution operating environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to develop policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality while demonstrating the highest standards of integrity.
