Commercial Analyst

Purpose of Position

To translate commercial strategy into disciplined execution at the point of sale, ensuring superior retail standards and consistent delivery of business outcomes. The role creates value by driving revenue growth, protecting margin and working capital, reducing operational and compliance risk, building field capability, and enhancing customer experience through strong execution and coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuous monitoring of the effective execution of assigned tasks according to established quality standards and deadlines for Apps, questionnaires and trade audit forms such as the Merchandising App and the Infinity Program.
  • Coordination and communication with all interested parties inclusive of the principal to ensure efficient implementation of trade audit tools such as Apps, questionnaires, and trade audit forms.
  • Creation and delivery of daily, monthly, and weekly reports on the resolution of gaps in trade execution, results achieved, and opportunities garnered from Apps, questionnaires and trade audits.
  • Track all orders/invoices against the Warehouse Customer Charter with the intent of minimizing gaps related to On-Shelf-Availability.
  • Research and evaluate competitive environment and economic conditions that may affect the commercial team’s ability to sell its products in the marketplace.

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Actuarial Science or related discipline.
  • Minimum of two years experience in a similar capacity (retail or grocery distribution/FMCG environment)/ technical experience in a similar or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting and statistical packages for analyzing data.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, the Microsoft Office Suite, and AI tools is an asset.
