Settlement & Reconciliation Officer
Purpose of Position
Reporting to the Settlement & Reconciliation Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for assisting with the achievement of targeted receivables ageing and collections inflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily settlement of Van Sales Representatives
- Ensure daily settlement is posted to the appropriate accounts
- Liaise with customers and Van Sales Contractors daily to collect monies due/outstanding.
- Conduct weekly reviews for Van Sales Customer Accounts
- Monitor Van Sales Contractors’ Accounts daily
- Conduct daily processing of unapplied cash and credit notes
- Do monthly journal entries for GCT exempt customer accounts and submit for posting
- Count stock in truck per SKU and verify counted stock matches ASKI location and inventory in SAP location
- Check ASKI website for uploaded truck stock requests to create Standard Transport Orders (STOs) and communicate it to the warehouse transport personnel
Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge
- Diploma in Finance or Accounting, OR
- Six CXC or GCE subjects, inclusive of English and a numeric subject
- Be fully conversant with Microsoft Office Suite of Applications
- Knowledge of SAP Software would be an asset
- Previous experience in a credit and collections environment would be an asset
