Change Manager & Transformation Delivery Lead
Purpose of position
The Change Management & Transformation Delivery Lead will implement change management strategies, oversee organizational changes to maximize employee and customer adoption, and anticipate and minimize resistance behaviours. The incumbent will communicate effectively with stakeholders, manage resistance, assess risks, and ensure a smooth transition process for all employees and the bank, thereby driving adoption and utilization of changes that impact employees to increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI, and achievement of results and outcomes.
The role will also be responsible for driving First Global Bank’s (FGB) strategic transformation agenda, embedding cultural renewal, operational modernization, and digital innovation throughout the organization. This role is critical for fostering a high-performance, accountable culture, and for delivering business results that align with FGB’s vision to become a modern, customer-focused, and digitally advanced bank. The TDL will also act as a coach to senior managers, people managers, and project managers to support their teams through transitions.
Principal responsibilities
- Change Implementation, Monitoring & Training
- Lead execution of change initiatives, coordinating activities, and monitoring progress to achieve desired outcomes within specified timelines.
- Assess readiness for change at both organization and stakeholder levels.
- Design and apply tools for measuring benefits and effectiveness.
- Create and implement change management strategies and plans tailored to project/business needs and timelines.
- Enable the design, development, delivery, and management of key communications and training programs for staff.
- Document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programmes.
- Consult and coach project teams and people managers through changes and transitions.
- Strategic Transformation Execution & Change Strategy Development
- Work with the COO and senior leaders to design and implement a 3–5 year transformation roadmap.
- Translate strategic goals into detailed plans with defined timelines, deliverables, and KPIs.
- Develop comprehensive change management strategies and plans aligned with organizational goals, considering the impact on customers, staff, processes, and technology.
- Conduct change impact analysis on stakeholders, processes, and technologies.
- Identify resistance to change; design and implement resistance management strategies and activities.
- Perform change risk analysis and design risk mitigation strategies.
- Assist in defining expected benefits from change initiatives and design activities to facilitate realization of benefits.
- Leverage structured change management methodology, processes, and tools to support adoption of project-required changes.
- Define and measure success metrics and monitor change processes.
- Create actionable deliverables for the core change management plan.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Identify and engage key stakeholders, including executives, managers, and employees, to build support and ensure effective communication throughout the change process.
- Guide and support the engagement and development of change champions as points of contact between key stakeholders and the project team and sponsors.
- Support engagement activities and provide feedback/pulse checks to inform the project team.
- Facilitate communication to ensure regular engagement around developments and plans.
- Gather input and adapt communication strategies as needed.
- Design, develop, deliver, and manage targeted communications for stakeholders.
- Provide input to the design of appropriate and compelling communication materials.
Required Qualification, Experience and Key Competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Banking Operations or related field.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
- Five (5) years’ experience in communications, training, and change management/change-related areas.
- Change management certification or designation required.
- Training related certifications would be an asset.
- Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
- Solid understanding of communications strategies and activities.
- Experience and knowledge of change and communication management principles, methodologies, and tools, as well as training methods and learning effectiveness.
- Flexible, adaptable, and capable of working in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
