ASSISTANT MANAGER - IT QUALITY ASSURANCE
Purpose of Position
What You'll Be Responsible For
In this role, you will support the organization by:
- Leading and coordinating quality assurance activities for enterprise applications, system enhancements, and technology initiatives.
- Developing, reviewing, and executing testing strategies, test plans, and test scripts to ensure solutions meet defined business and technical requirements.
- Overseeing defect identification, tracking, and resolution processes to support high-quality software delivery.
- Implementing and enhancing automated testing capabilities to improve testing efficiency, accuracy, and coverage.
- Collaborating with developers, vendors, and stakeholders to validate solutions and ensure successful implementation outcomes.
- Participating in requirements reviews for new systems and enhancements to ensure quality standards are considered from the earliest stages of development.
- Providing subject matter expertise in the review of change requests, application releases, and system implementations.
- Supporting the resolution of complex application issues and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the technology environment.
What Will Make You Successful
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least five (5) years’ experience in a software quality assurance leadership role, including the development and execution of test plans for enterprise business solutions.
- Four (4) to five (5) years’ experience in software engineering.
- Experience writing SQL queries and analyzing data.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Unix operating environments, MS SQL, Oracle databases, web-enabled applications, Oracle WebLogic, and reporting solutions.
- Experience working within a financial institution or similarly regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, quality assurance principles, and system implementation practices.
