ASSISTANT FINANCE MANAGER - UNIBEV

(GK FOODS)

 

 

Reporting to the Finance Manager - Manufacturing, the incumbent will be responsible for assisting with the financial management, reporting and performance monitoring of the manufacturing portfolio company – UNIBEV Limited through the timely processing and review of transactions.

Provide information and decision-making support to the local GMs, the Finance Managers and the CFO – GK Foods

 

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Submission of Management Accounts to Group Finance by the 4th working day of each month
  • Delivery of accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making
  • Assisting with the monthly preparation of General Consumption Tax (GCT) returns for UNIBEV Ltd
  • Preparation and review of Variable Salary for the assigned portfolio, as applicable
  • Monthly review of Sub-ledger Reconciliations and assigned Balance Sheet schedules
  • Annual preparation of Insurance Coverage documentation for the managed portfolio
  • Providing financial guidance to business units to support strategic decision-making
  • Preparing and reviewing audit schedules and tax returns to support the annual external audit
  • Submitting quarterly consolidation packages to Group Finance by the 5th working day after quarter-end.

 

WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or ACCA Level II certification
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in accounting or a related area
  • Proficient in the use of automated audit and query tools
  • Demonstrates a high degree of confidentiality and integrity
  • Strong knowledge and application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and accounting best practices
  • Experience with SAP and manufacturing accounting is an asset
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Effective communicator with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
  • Capable of working independently with a high level of accountability
  • A dynamic self-starter able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
  • Detail-oriented with strong accuracy and follow-through
