Accounts Receivables Associate

Purpose of Position

Reporting to the Head of Receivables, the incumbent will be responsible for managing the collections process of premium receivables for an organization. The Receivables Associate will be responsible for contacting customers including Brokers/Insurance Companies/Agents who have overdue accounts and negotiating payment arrangements. This person should be able to communicate effectively and have a strong ability to negotiate payment plans with customers.

Required Qualification, Experience, Knowledge

At minimum, applicants should possess the following:

•    First Degree in Finance, Accounts or related field
•    At least two (2) years’ experience in an Accounting or Finance Department
•    Experience in Receivables management would be a distinct asset
•    Demonstrate knowledge of collections management and practices 
•    Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
•    Good knowledge in general insurance law and regulations
•    Excellent problem-solving capabilities and techniques.
•    Strong customer relations and relationship building skills, poise, tact and diplomacy.
•    Excellent time management and the ability to plan, prioritize, negotiate and meet deadlines
