Accounts Payable Officer

 

 

Reporting to the Cash Management Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating payables functions and supporting the daily cash flow management of the domestic business units within the GK Foods division.

 

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Processing supplier invoices.
  • Preparing proposal listings and executing cheque/electronic transfer payments.
  • Processing credit card payments.
  • Preparing timely and accurate cash flow statements.
  • Creating and maintaining vendor accounts.
  • Reviewing and clearing items from the down payment account.
  • Ensuring transactions are cleared from the GR/IR account on a timely basis.
  • Assisting with the resolution of supplier reconciliation issues.
  • Preparing weekly intercompany transfers.

 

WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting, or ACCA Level 1 certification
  • At least two (2) years of working experience in a similar or related field
  • Sound knowledge of the manufacturing and distribution business. s.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of SAP software.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly.
  • Strong communication skills for managing internal and external stakeholders.
  • High degree of confidentiality and integrity.
